Who Spends Most Time on Facebook? – eMarketer

The Nielsen Company reported in June that, on average, the global consumer spends about 1 in every 4.5 minutes online on blogs or social networking sites. According to a report by market researcher Morpace, among US Facebook users time on Facebook rises to 1 in 3 minutes spent online.

Yellow Tiger, Yellow Man

The CNY press ads from Digi is very impressive this year.  Their concept of using yellow man to usher the year of the tiger is very creative and different from the ordinary CNY ads. Well done!!!!

The difference between free and bonus

I agree with Seth Godin on how he differentiates between free and bonus.  This might be useful for you in your future promos. Before you starts giving away some freebies for your next promo, think twice on the objective of your initiative.

  • Free is something you get, no matter what.
  • A bonus is something you get as an add-on when you purchase something, or trade your attention.
  • The purpose of free is to spread the word, alert the universe and generate interest.
  • The purpose of a bonus is to reward immediate action and to sway the undecided.

Streamyx vs. P1 WiMAX

I know this ads have been around for quite a while and I have seen this ads quite a number of times but I did not find anything special about it. It was only after reading an email that I found out the talent of the ads resembles Michael Lai (CEO of P1 WiMax). To be frank,  I think not many people will know who is Michael Lai and how does he looks like unless those who are familiar with the industry.  To me, even if the talent is replaced with someone else, it would have not made a big difference.

Yea, some people might think that it’s creative but to me it’s more like a personal attack to the CEO rather than highlighting on the features. They should do something like the Telcos and Airlines. Which they are really attacking on each others weaknesses in terms of features that are more prominent. 

Anyway, both P1 and Streamyx services still sucks!

Takaful Malaysia Rebranding

Recently, I noticed that there is a revamp on takaful logo.  The brand new logo is fresher.  The “look and feel” are more professional. The colors combination are brighter not as dull as the old dark green. The new font highlights the brand name more prominently unlike the old one that looks more like a jawi font. It’s a great new look for takaful malaysia.
